JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT

JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT

Jn7:24NKJV “Do not judge according to (outward) appearance, but JUDGE WITH RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT."

What does it mean when it says to “JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT”?

·       JUDGE” krínō – to separate (distinguish), i.e. judge; come to a choice (decision, judgment) by making a judgment – either positive (a verdict in favor of) or negative (which rejects or condemns). [HELPS Word Studies - Bible Hub]

·       “RIGHTEOUS” díkaios - "approved by God" (J. Thayer); "just in the eyes of God"

I love how the NASB95 quotes Jesus in Lk6:37-38

"DO NOT JUDGE, and you will NOT BE JUDGED;

DO NOT CONDEMN, and you will NOT BE CONDEMNED;

PARDON and you will be PARDONED

…For by YOUR standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."

SO… You do not judge how YOU see things…

…rather, distinguish (JUDGE) between how YOU see it outwardly and how YAHWEH perceives it from HIS perspective… or…

…JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT

1Cor5:11-13NKJV “But now I have written to you NOT TO KEEP COMPANY with anyone named (so-called) A BROTHER, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner

…NOT EVEN TO EAT WITH SUCH A PERSON

For what have I to do with JUDGING those also who are OUTSIDE?

Do YOU not  JUDGE those who are INSIDE?

But those who are OUTSIDE GOD JUDGES.

Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

It is kinda funny what Paul says just before this in verses 9-10:

“I wrote to you in my epistle NOT TO KEEP COMPANY with sexually immoral people.

Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world,

or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters,

since then you would need to go out of the world.”

HAHA... if we were JUDGING those in the world... we couldn't even eat or be with ANYONE!

But... we are to
JUDGE those "WITHIN"... those who call themselves "BROTHERS".

And, indeed, in 2Tim3:1-5 the list is long of these types of people
who "have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof”… and then tells us, “FROM SUCH TURN AWAY.”

But, we have conformed into a false image mirroring today's societal inclusiveness… defiantly shouting the cultural 11th Commandment, “THOU SHALT NOT JUDGE!”

…Thinking, “Surely God wouldn't tell us to TURN AWAY from people!”

Jesus states in Mtt7:17-20TPT: “So if the tree is good, it will produce good fruit; but if the tree is bad, it will bear only rotten fruit and deserves to be cut down and burned. You’ll know them by the obvious fruit of their lives and ministries.”

Distinguish between your perception and God’s perspective.

JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT.
