THE WAY OF FAITH

 

 

“ Jesus said unto him,

I AM…

THE WAY,

THE TRUTH,

AND THE LIFE:

no man comes unto the Father, but by me.”  (Jn14:6)

 

 

HE is THE WAY… HIMSELF…

 

 

It is HIS perspective…

 

 

How HE does it…

 

 

In HIM (that WAY)… is TRUTH…

 

 

And IN HIM (that TRUTH)… you have LIFE…

 

 

…more abundantly (Jn10:10)

 

 

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven,

but the one who does THE WILL of My Father…”  (Mtt7:21-22)

 

 

“There is a WAY which seems right to a man,

but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Prov14:12;16:25)

 

 

Once again… FAITH is always used as a noun – a person, place or thing.

 

So… it is not a decision of action to take

 

But… it is a place from which decisions are made.

 

It is a place…

IN the person of Jesus Christ,

seated at the right hand of the Father…

from which you now see all of LIFE.

 

 

THE WAY OF FAITH is life from HIS PERSPECTIVE…

 

 

It’s not a plethora of paths. .

 

 

“I have set before you life and death,

blessing and cursing:

therefore choose LIFE…

…that you may cleave to him:

for HE IS YOUR LIFE….” (Deut30:19-21)

 

 

THE WAY OF FAITH is unlikely the road on which most will travel.

 

 

In fact… it is usually the road less traveled…

 

 

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the WAY is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

For the gate is small and THE WAY is narrow that leads to LIFE,

and there are few who find it”. (Mtt7:13-14)

 

 

So… it is not a WAY seen as normal, traditional, correct, safe, etc…

 

 

It is walking LIFE THE WAY of Jesus Christ…

 

 

…in HIS perspective…

 

 

AND… it is not comfortable to live the WAY someone else views things…

 

 

Even if it is Jesus Christ, Himself!

 

 

“…when the Son of Man comes, will He find FAITH on the earth?” (Lk18:8)

 

 

THE WAY OF FAITH  always seems extreme to those who desire the safety and comfort of the familiar.

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
