THE WORD IN US

 

It is very interesting to me how THE WORD of God, Jesus Christ, works IN US.

As a seed, it is planted and then brings forth not just the blade..., but the ear... and finally... the full corn in the ear. (Mk4:28NKJV)

 

 

1.         REVELATION

First, He is revealed to us. 

It is the "ah-ha" moment where the light comes on and we somehow see something never seen before. 

It is like being born again, something leaps inside you.... you may not understand it all... but... the seed is laid deep in your heart and has begun to change you into HIS likeness and image.

 

 

2.         TRANSFIGURATION

A clarity and distinction begins as the Word of Truth is rightly divided and it rightly divides you into what is Spirit... and what is just your soul (mind, will, and emotions)... distinquishes what are even just thoughts, and the intents of your heart...

and the Spirit of God walks between the pieces. 

We even say, "wow, let's make a tent and camp here... I have seen God",

but Christ is simply being transfigured before you and you are finally making a distinction between what is just scripture to you and what is the Spirit of Life which is in Christ Jesus.

 

 

3.         MANIFESTATION

the Word becomes flesh... we live it...it lives through us. 

THAT WORD HAS BECOME so much a part of us that it comes out of every fiber of our being…

["if you have seen me... you see the Father"]

…especially in this area where the Word has done its work AND PRODUCED IN YOU… 30, 60, and then the 100 fold return. (Mk4:8NKJV)

 

 

We usually get very excited about the REVELATION stage. You know… there’s that feeling after hearing something new that changes our way of thinking and life. At that point we want to run out and share it with everyone.... but then wonder why not many are getting as excited as we were about it. 

 

The reason it is not having quite the impact we want is because we are trying to teach or share something that has not yet TRANSFIGURED us... let alone has BECOME us.

 

If we let THAT WORD have His work in us, we can say, "that which I HAVE, I give unto you"... we can IMPART the very life of THAT WORD so it births something in them, as well.   We are no longer sharing information or teaching them something they need to know... we are IMPARTING the very Spirit and nature of THAT WORD which births His likeness and image.

 

 

 

THE WORD - LOGOS

I was always taught that the logos was the written Word (ie, the Bible). But... it doesn't mean to write... it means to speak... but... it is not simply the speech…

…it is "the thought, intent, purpose, and motive behind what is spoken "

 

So, in John 1 where it says that in the beginning was THE WORD (logos)… and that THE WORD (logos) BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us... it is talking about the very thought, intent, purpose and motive behind everything God is…

THAT became flesh.

 

 

That is what He wants to have THE WORD do in us... not just have Him REVEALED to us... but TRANSFORMING us into His likeness and image to where we finally, as sons of our Father, MANIFEST His very nature in what we speak or do.

WE NOW DEMONSTRATE the very thought, intent, purpose and motive that He had when He spoke it in the beginning…

 

and THEN...

 

…THAT WORD IN US will have the same power to create in others what He had in His heart to create.

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
