ACKNOWLEDGE HIM
Acknowledge HIM
Pr3:6 “In all your ways ACKNOWLEDGE HIM and HE will direct your paths”
ACKNOWLEDGE is translated from a form of the word “YADA”, which is used 943 times throughout the Old Testament to express some facet of: “to know”.
Just to give you a hint at the depth of meaning for “YADA”…
"Adam KNEW (YADA) Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain…” (Gen4:1,9,17,25)
It is a word intended to paint a picture in the heart or reader’s mind of an intimate and absolute knowledge which enables and produces life within that relationship.
It means: to perceive and know of a surety.
How shall KNOW that I will inherit it? Gen15:8,13,19,21
Dan11:32 “…the people that KNOW their God shall be strong, and do exploits”
In the Septuagint (The Greek translation of the Old Testament) the word used is “ginosko”, which has a direct correlation to “YADA”
Mtt7:22-23 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord… And then will I profess unto them, I never KNEW you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.”
The key to have life… and that more abundantly… in any relationship - especially with our Father – is to relate face to face… naked and open… knowing and being fully known… giving all of self… without reservation…
1Cor13:12 “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I KNOW in part; but then shall I KNOW even as also I am KNOWN.”
Our heartfelt cry is: “That I may KNOW him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” (Phi3:10)
We often fervently seek intimacy with the Lord… trying to “enter in”… laboring to get into His presence…
When all along…
HE is the one standing outside your door, knocking. (Rev3:20)
Before you even call to Him, HE answers. (Isa65:24)
You are the apple of His eye (Zech2:8)
He rejoices over you with singing (Zeph3:17)
You didn't choose HIM… HE CHOSE YOU! (Jn15:16)
He loved you first (1Jn4:19)
Before you were formed in the womb He KNEW (YADA) you (Jer1:5)
Remember… HE is the one desiring that intimate relationship… WITH YOU!
He comes to you with all of His splendor, majesty, and glory… desiring to demonstrate His deep love…
…throwing His arms wide open…
…proclaiming… “HERE I AM”…
“YADA!”
