Whatsoever Is Not of Faith Is Sin
“…WHATSOEVER IS NOT OF FAITH IS SIN.” (Rom14:23)
Have you ever caught yourself doubting a decision?
…eating something you are not quite sure about?
...paying a bill and wondering if you will have enough for anything else?
…or trying to decide to “believe God” or “go to the doctor”.
When we do, we haltingly move with uncertainty, wondering if “Christ is in it” or not. Boldness has left, leaving us seemingly powerless, timid, and devoid of any sense of authority.
HOW MUCH of our life is really lived by: “in him we live, and move, and have our being” (Acts17:28)?
HOW MUCH of our thinking is really positioned in faith…
seeing all of life from the perspective of being IN CHRIST…
resurrected in HIM…
by the same Spirit…
revitalizing every cell of our mortal body (Rom8:11)…
seated at the right hand of the Father in Heavenly Places? (Col3:1)
HOW MUCH of our speech comes from our Father’s heart, representing His Kingdom?
Lk18:8 “…when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
Mk4:38–40 “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?
WELL…
Whose report do we believe? (Isa53:1)
Gal4:1
“…AS LONG AS THE HEIR IS A CHILD,
he does not differ at all from a slave,
although he is owner of everything,”
Child – nepios:- infant, immature, simple-minded, unenlightened, unskilled, untaught
Gal4:3
“When we were CHILDREN, we were in bondage under the elements of the world:”
WE DIDN’T KNOW WHO WE WERE YET!
Consequently, the enemy convinces us we are mere earthlings…
enslaved, in bondage, subject to the power of darkness.
Gal4:4-5
“But when THE FULNESS OF THE TIME CAME,
God sent forth His Son…
that we might receive the adoption AS SONS.”
1Jn3:2 “Beloved, NOW are we the SONS OF GOD.”
Sons – teknon:- one produced by a seed; living in willing dependence on the FATHER.
Gal4:6-7
“BECAUSE YOU ARE SONS…
…you are no longer a slave,
but a SON;
and if a SON,
THEN AN HEIR THROUGH GOD.”
Gal2:20 “…and the life
which I now live
in the flesh,
I live by the faith
OF
the Son of God”
