Whose Report Do You Believe?

 

WHOSE REPORT DO YOU BELIEVE?

 

“There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, 

and none of them is without signification.”  (1Cor14:10)

 

There are so many voices in the world vying for our attention. 

There are people telling us that there are bad things coming, you’d better prepare. 

Other voices say that God is saying this or that in this hour. 

Even other voices declaring that “this is the way, walk ye in it”. 

Multiple ads stating this remedy is necessary for your deliverance from your malady. 

Each voice declaring a different “gospel”… their version of Good News. 

 

 

Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.

 

 

“For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart…” (Ps95:7-8))

 

“But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep… and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” (Jn10:2-5)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Even in the Old Covenant,  Our Father said, “I AM the Lord that healeth thee" (Ex 15:26), stating His name here as “Jehovah Rapha" – meaning “the God Who Heals,” with the Hebrew word “rapha” translating to “to completely make whole, to thoroughly mend and repair.”

 

Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
-Exodus 23:25

 

And again… “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth ALL thine iniquities; who healeth ALL thy diseases;  Who REDEEMETH thy life from destruction; who CROWNETH thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.” (Ps103:2-4)

 

So, why are we still questioning whether or not it is Our Father’s will to heal?

 

Isa 53 asked the same question while prophesying of Christ, “who hath believed our report?”… “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his OWN WAY;” (Isa53:1,6)

 

[Proverbs 14:12; 16:25. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”]

 

Yet in Isaiah 53:4 it says in PAST TENSE that “He has BORNE our griefs” (translated: malady, anxiety, calamity, disease, sickness) “and CARRIED our sorrows” (translated: anguish, affliction, PAIN)

“stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”

 

AS US… IN OUR PLACE…. HE BORE IT AND TOOK IT… AS US.

 

Isaiah 53:5 …and with his stripes we are healed.

 

…not “going to be"…. Not “might be if you beg long enough…

 

… ARE HEALED!

 

He speaks what is NOW, because of what HE already DID.

 

All of the Old Covenant was fulfilled in Christ, so a BETTER, New Covenant was established on BETTER promises (Heb 8:6-13, 7:22)

 

As a KING… as the CREATOR… as the ONE who “upholds ALL THINGS by the WORD of His power" (Heb 1:3)… “He SENT HIS WORD (CHRIST, the living Word), and HEALED them, and DELIVERED them from their destructions” (Ps 107:20)

 

… by whose stripes YOU WERE HEALED. (1 Pet 2:24)

 

 

This is what your Father believes.
