The Faith OF God
Christ is described as the WORD in John 1.
“In the beginning was the WORD…”
The word used there is “logos”
I was always taught that the “logos” was the written word we know as the Bible.
But, “logos” does not mean a written word…
Nor does it mean a spoken word…
LOGOS IS:
“the thought, intent, purpose, and motive BEHIND what is spoken”
THAT is what became flesh and dwelt among us (Jn 1:14)
THAT is by whom the worlds were created. (Jn 1:3,10; Heb 1:2)
The Creator did not just utter something…
It came forth from
a thought…
An intent…
A purpose and motive…
THE GENESIS of everything…
No wavering… no doubt…
In Mark 11:22-23 the LOGOS, Christ Jesus, was explaining about the withered fig tree he had spoken to earlier.
The very thought, intent, purpose and motive behind everything our Father does and speaks was describing how HIS faith works….
How the mind of THE CREATOR operates…
And then says it works for us, too (also Mtt 21:21)
“And Jesus answering saith unto them,
Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you,
That WHOSOEVER shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
The Greek at end of verse 22 ACTUALLY reads:
έχετε - HAVE ["you be (continually) having]
πίστιν - FAITH
θεού - OF GOD
Some translations state:
“Have the faith of God”
“Have the God kind of faith”
The literal translation:
“HAVE GOD'S FAITH”
We are created in HIS likeness and image. (Gen 1:26,27)
As His son, I was raised in Christ to have HIS FAITH, (Gal 2:20)
To do what I see my Father do. (Jn 5:19)
I now have THE MIND OF CHRIST. (1 Cor 2:16)
[That’s the war – my mind vs His]
“LET this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Phil 2:5)
The very thought, intent, purpose and motive of your Father…
CHRIST IS IN YOU! (Col 1:27)
THINK WITH HIM.
