BREAKING WIND

 

Have you ever felt like God called you to do something or desired for you to “birth something into the Earth?

You just knew that He told you to start that ministry… build that church… initiate those meetings… establish that new thing – whatever it is?

The problem is… it has become a struggle.

Isa43:18-19NKJV "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do A NEW THING, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?”

 

Hmmmm… a NEW THING…

                  …something I have never seen before…

                                    …I don't know how it looks… how it moves… how it functions… the blueprint, nor the pattern… let alone how to assemble any part of it.

 

You would think I would finally get the picture…

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh,

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (Jn3:6NASB95)

 

But… what I have always done is OVERLAY what I already know ONTO what I thought I saw… and start building with all the zeal I can muster… and call it “God’s Work”.

“Are you so foolish?

After starting in the Spirit,

are you now finishing in the flesh?” (Gal3:3BSB)

 

We knew we received something from God, but then try to bring it forth how WE KNOW IT.

“As a woman with child Is in pain and cries out in her pangs,

When she draws near the time of her delivery,

So have we been in Your sight, O LORD.

We have been with child,

we have been in pain;

We have, as it were,

BROUGHT FORTH WIND;

We have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth,

Nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen.” (Isa26:17-18NKJV)

 

We have strained and pushed… and tried to bring forth what we thought was God…

                  …but we have just been BREAKING WIND.

 

Sure… we may have accomplished a little deliverance…

                  …maybe had a few healings follow us

And… yeah… maybe we have seen some rulers of darkness in this world fall…

 

BUT… WHEN HE BRINGS IT FORTH…

                  “…the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Mtt16:18KJV)

 

Gates are to keep something out… they are defensive.

 

WHATEVER IS BORN OF GOD OVERCOMES THE WORLD! (1Jn5:4NKJV)

What HE HAS BIRTHED will storm the gates of the enemy and

                  “pursue… overtake… and recover ALL” that the enemy has stolen (1Sam30:8)

(Joel2:25-26NKJV) And YHWH shall RESTORE THE YEARS that the locust, palmerworm, and cankerworm has eaten…

                  “…And My people shall never be put to shame.”

 

1Jn3:8NASB95 Because what God has conceived in you has been brought forth…

                  “…for this purpose…

…to destroy the works of the devil”

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
