CHANGE OF RAIMENT

 

You know… they say that “clothes make the man”…  

If that is truly the case… what are YOU WEARING?

 

Zec3:1-10(NASB) describes another of Zechariah’s visions…

Vs1: “…Joshua the high priest (was)standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse [satan] him.”

[hmmmm… satan was there to satan him…]

 

Vs2: The LORD said to Satan [accuser], "The LORD rebuke you, Satan [accuser]! …Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?"

Or… “How dare you accuse someone I have plucked out of the fire… whom I have saved!”

 

Vs3: “Now Joshua was clothed with filthy [soiled as with excrement] garments and stood before the angel.” (KJV)

Vs4: The angel “spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.”

Question: who was standing before the angel of the Lord, besides Joshua?

…SATAN!!!

HE was commanding satan to take all of those filthy clothes off Joshua!

 

Vs4: “And unto him (Joshua) he said, ‘Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee,

and I will clothe thee with CHANGE OF RAIMENT.’” (KJV)

 

Vs5 “And I said, ‘Let them set a FAIR MITRE [CLEAN TURBAN] upon his head.’

So they set a FAIR MITRE [CLEAN TURBAN] upon his head, and clothed him with garments.

And the angel of the Lord stood by.”

 

                  Vs6-7 “…Thus saith the Lord of hosts; ‘If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.’”

 

…..and who was “standing by?

Satan (Zec3:1)

The angel of the Lord (Zec3:5)

 

[This sounds a lot like the Father’s response to the PRODIGAL SON’S return… accepting him, putting on him the clean robes, replacing the family signet ring on his finger, and restoring him in the eyes of everyone. (Lk15:11-31)]

 

God had satan remove all the filthy garments off you.

2Cor5:17NKJV “…old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

 

Your Father has established your position, restored your signet, and reinforced your authority…

…So, you can walk through this life with HIM in boldness…

…and satan must stand by and watch…

 

…Because God, the commander of angel armies,

HAS CLOTHED YOU WITH THE GARMENTS OF SALVATION (Isa61:10)

HAS COVERED YOU WITH THE ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (Isa61:10)

HAS CLOTHED YOU WITH POWER FROM ON HIGH (Lk24:49)

HAS GIVEN YOU HIS ARMOR (Eph6:13-18)

HAS GIVEN YOU…

…A CHANGE OF RAIMENT!

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
