THE DAILY LOAD

THE DAILY LOAD

“Blessed be the Lord

Who daily loads us with benefits,

The God of our salvation!

Selah” (Ps68:19)

The word, “selah” is used throughout the Psalms and other Hebrew music and poetry as a notation similar to “a rest” in our modern music. However, it indicates a broader word picture of… “to pause and consider or reflect in order to lift up and exalt the topic just sung or played.”

So… that is exactly what I did after reading this verse… I SELAH’D… meditating on each word and phrase to get the thought, intent, purpose, and motive infused into what was said:

·       Blessed – to offer gratitude with a physical expression of submission, humility, and reverence in relationship during prayer and worship.

·       Lord - Adonay – the ONLY ONE with sovereign power, majesty, and undisputed right of decision

·       Daily – day to day to day… ad infinitum

[Lam3:22-23 “It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed,

because his compassions fail not.

THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING:

great is thy faithfulness.”]

·       “Loads us with benefits” ( lā·nū, ya·‘ă·mās)

1.          lā·nū,"You are" or “us”

2.         and "ya·‘ă·mās”, (used only once in the Bible) primarily conveys the idea of melting or dissolving, often used metaphorically to describe the weakening or fainting of one's heart or spirit.

…in other words…

“you are so overloaded with benefits

that you are overwhelmed to the point of fainting”

·       God – “el” – the mighty and all-powerful ONE (referring back to “the Lord”)

·       Of our SALVATIONYESHUAH – salvation, deliverance, healing, aid, victory, prosperity… to restore to wholeness

NOTE: For the Israelites, "yeshuah" was deeply connected to their covenant relationship with Yahweh, who was seen as their ultimate deliverer. This concept of salvation extended to every aspect of daily life, reflecting God's ongoing commitment to His people.

Ps103:2-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not ALL HIS BENEFITS:

·       Who forgives ALL your iniquities,

·       Who heals ALL your diseases,

·       Who redeems your life from destruction,

·       Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

·       Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The Messiah has come!

“…ALL the promises of God IN HIM are Yes, and IN HIM Amen...” (2Cor1:20)

NOW is the accepted TIME,

NOW is the day of SALVATION,” (2Cor6:2)

Awaken each day anticipating…

THE DAILY LOAD!
