HIS WILL
HIS WILL
1Tim2:3-4 “For this is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE in the sight of God our Saviour…
Who WILL have ALL men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the TRUTH.”
First of all… what is the WILL of God our Savior for ALL men… or mankind?
TO BE SAVED!
THAT is what is GOOD and ACCEPTABLE in His sight.
“SAVED” is translated from the Greek word “SOZO” – which means:
To heal
To deliver
To save
To rescue
To preserve
To get on well
To prosper
To be made whole
The word “SAVED” refers to the whole package…
…EVERY TIME!
So… why the question, “Is it God’s WILL to heal?”
Let me ask this… “Is it God’s WILL to forgive sins?”
Lk5:23-24 “Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or… 'Rise up and walk'?
But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"… "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."
Apparently, there was no difference for Jesus Christ, who is the “EXPRESS IMAGE” – the exact character and nature – of God,
who purged our sins (Heb1:3)…
who went about doing good, and healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (Acts10:38)
“…And the people… followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.” (Lk9:11)
“…And (He) HEALED THEM ALL.” (Lk6:19)
Jesus even declared in Jn5:30 “…I seek not MY OWN WILL, but the WILL OF THE FATHER which hath sent me.”
“…My meat is to do THE WILL OF HIM THAT SENT ME, and to finish his work.” (Jn4:34)
He was always demonstrating His Father’s WILL… AT HAND… RIGHT NOW!
REMEMBER... If you have seen Him...
you've seen the Father (Jn14:9)
1Jn5:14-15 “Now this is the CONFIDENCE that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to HIS WILL, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the PETITIONS that we have asked of Him.”
PETITIONS: from “aiteo” – strictly a demand for something due… like a check written for something already in your account
HIS WILL: He put it in your account 2000 years ago…
“He TOOK our infirmities and BORE our sicknesses” (Mt8:17;Isa53:4)
(1Pe2:24) “BY HIS STRIPES YOU WERE HEALED!”
