FIND YOURSELF

 

Why is it that we are always trying to “find ourselves”

 

It has become a billion-dollar industry marketing books, seminars, and retreats to find:

YOUR purpose, YOUR gifts, YOUR calling, YOUR identity, YOUR SELF…

 

BUT… if you seek to save it… you'll lose it. (Mt16:25)

 

 

Phi3:9 “…BE FOUND IN HIM…”

 

Col3:2-3 “For you are dead,

and your life is HID

with Christ in God.”

 

 

Rom6:3-5,8AMP “Are you ignorant of the fact

that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death,

so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father,

SO WE TOO might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.

For if we have become one with Him [permanently united] in the likeness of His death,

we will also certainly be [one with Him and share fully] in the likeness of His resurrection…

…Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live [together] with Him,”

 

 

1Jn4:13 “Hereby know we that WE DWELL IN HIM, and HE IN US, because HE has given us of his Spirit.”

 

 

 

Rom8:11 “… if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,

He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

 

 

What is Jesus Christ like RIGHT NOW?

 

  • Seated at the right hand of the Father.
  • All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him.
  • Full of love, wisdom, understanding, dominion, might and power.
  • Far above all principality, ruler, might, and dominion.
  • resurrected in FULNESS of life.
  • No pain… no disease… no sickness… no sorrow
  • Unencumbered by the affairs of life
  • full of glory... full of love... full of faith... full of strength… full of peace... full of joy.
  • Resurrection power coursing through every fiber of His body.
  • All things are under His feet with His enemies as His footstool.

 

 

 

1 John 4:17 states:

“…AS HE IS...”

RIGHT NOW...

…NOT AS HE WAS…

…NOT AS HE IS GOING TO BE…

BUT…

“AS HE IS” … RIGHT NOW!

“…SO ARE WE...

…IN THIS WORLD!”

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
