The Knowledge of The Son of God

 

 

Eph4:13 “Till we all come in the unity of the faith,

 and OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD

unto a perfect man, unto the measure OF the stature OF the fulness OF Christ:

 

 

The article or preposition, “OF” in the above cases is a Genitive/ Imperative part of speech. The genitive case expresses possession: "my hat" or "Harry's house. “Imperative” would imply the mood of a demand or command.

 

 

Back to Eph4:13

“Son of God” = God’s son…

LITERALLY… “IT’S IMPERATIVE WE HAVE GOD’S SON’S KNOWLEDGE.”

…see it the way HE sees it! …know what HE knows about it! …and together believe what HE believes about it!

Then we possess in full measure CHRIST’S FULL STATURE.

 

2Pet1:3 “…his divine power has given us all things pertaining unto life and godliness, THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM that has called us to glory and virtue.”

 

THROUGH HAVING HIS KNOWLEDGE we possess all things imparted by HIS power pertaining to life and godliness. 

 

2Cor2:14 “…thanks to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of HIS KNOWLEDGE in every place.”

 

2Cor10:4-5 “…Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD…and bringing into captivity every thought to THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST. 

 

Once again, the article “OF” used both times in the above verse is genitive, making the the following noun possessive. 

 

We cast down every high thing exalting itself against/opposing GOD’S KNOWLEDGE… 

bringing every thought captive into THE SAME OBEDIENCE CHRIST HAS!

 

Eph1:17 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, 

may give unto you THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION

IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM:”

            …in HIS (the Father’s) KNOWLEDGE!

 

1Cor2:10-12 “…no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God… Now we have received… the spirit which is of God… that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”

 

You NOW HAVE the mind of Christ (1 Cor2:16)

 

Phil2:5 “LET (allow) this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”

 

           …LET YOURSELF THINK LIKE HIM!

  THE DAILY LOAD   “Blessed be the Lord Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah” (Ps68:19)   The word, “selah” is used throughout the Psalms and other Hebrew music and poetry as a notation similar to “a rest” in our modern music. The Perfect Will of God

  The Perfect Will of God   Rom12:2  “…Do not be CONFORMED to this WORLD , but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND , that you may PROVE WHAT IS that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT WILL OF GOD .”   I was always taught that there were three different WILLS of God… And you are placed in one WILL or another determined by your maturity level, your faith, and your closeness to God.   However… let's dissect this verse to clearly see the intent behind each part.   ·        CONFORMED – properly means: assuming a similar  outward  form (expression) by following the same  pattern  (model, mold). ·        WORLD - properly, an  age  ( era , "time-span"),  characterized by a specific quality  (type) of existence ·        TRANSFORMED - metamorphóō - changing form or shape in keeping with a transformed inner reality...
