Time of Visitation


 

TIME OF VISITATION

 

 

 “When He approached Jerusalem, 

He saw the city and wept over it, saying, 

“If you had known in this day, 

even you, 

the things which make for (your) peace! 

But now they have been hidden from your eyes. 

“For the days will come upon you 

when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, 

and surround you 

and hem you in on every side,

and they will level you to the ground…

…because you did not recognize 

THE TIME 

OF YOUR VISITATION.” (Lk19:41-44NASB)

 

TIME - (kairos “to take full advantage of a 

fitting and favorable…

·       Season

·       Moment

·       Opportunity

·       Occasion

·       time.”

 

VISITATION- Episkope:

·       visitation (of judgment), 

·       oversight, 

·       supervision, 

·       overseership.

 

 

To amplify…

The enemy will gain entrance…

…because you 

did not take full advantage 

of the favorable season

God searched out and inspected your ways, deeds, and character. 

 

 

 “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,

Nor faint when you are reproved by Him;

For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines...” (Pr3:11-12;Heb12:5-6)

 

 

“Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore, be zealous and repent.” (Rev3:19)

 

 

“They would not accept my counsel,

They spurned all my reproof.”

“So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way.” (Pr1:30-31)

 

 

I kept sending you servants and you mistreated or killed them. (Mtt21:33-40)

 

 

It is strange how many people He will send to us with similar messages over the years, 

But… we proudly think we are hearing clearly… directly from God, Himself. 

 

 

“Every man’s way is right in his own eyes” (Pr21:2)

 

 

“…fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Pr1:7)

 

 

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,

But a wise man is he who listens to counsel.” (Pr12:15) 

 

 

Jer17:9-10 

“The heart is deceitful above all things, 

and desperately wicked: 

who can know it? 

I, YAHWEH, search the heart, 

I try the reins…

[kidneys, innermost sensitive and vital part as seat of emotions and affections]

to give every man according to his ways, 

and according to the fruit of his doings.”

 

 

 

Today if you hear his voice harden not your hearts” (Heb3:15,4:7)

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
