The Weapons of Our Warfare - The Sword of The Spirit

The Weapons of our Warfare – The Sword of the Spirit

Eph 6:17 And take… the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

So… how does one use the Word of God in a warfare situation?  What makes it more effective than just quoting verses?

Rom 10:10  with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (soteria – deliverance, wholeness, healing)

CONFESSION – homologeo. Homo - “the same as”; logeo - from logos:  the thought, intent, purpose , and motive behind what is spoken.

So, confession means: to speak what our Father says with the very thought, intent, purpose, and motive in which HE speaks it.

Heb 1:3 (Christ) being the brightness of his glory, and the express image (Greek word: charakter) of HIS person, and upholding all things by the word (rhema – utterance or voice, to simply open mouth and utter) of his power

Christ is the LOGOS (Jn 1:1-4) The very thought, intent, purpose and motive of the Father and everything He spoke or did from the beginning of “LET THERE BE…”  Through and by Him was everything made!  And now all things are upheld by that same voice and utterance which comes forth from and originates in POWER -dunamis- explosive, miraculous, might and ability.

Ps 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the VOICE OF HIS WORD.

The angels, who are “ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation” (Heb 1:14), are not commanded BY US.  BUT… they listen intently and effectively carry out the VOICE OF HIS WORD.

Who gives voice to HIS Word?

WE DO!

That is our testimony… our confession… our profession

Ps 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them

Daniel 10 describes Daniel fasting about a vision.  He questioned the Lord and an angel appeared after 21 days telling him about the battle fought “from the first day he had spoken"

And the angel said, “I HAVE COME FOR THY WORDS"
