 THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE!   10:4

An easy way to remember where to find how our warfare works is the above radio signal for “correct" or “I gotchya", or “message received and complete"…. 10:4

2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal [of the flesh, earthly, of this world], but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

 

The verse just before that says,  “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:”

 

Why do we not war with weapons that are fleshly?

 

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against FLESH  AND  BLOOD… (NOT EVEN OUR OWN BODIES), but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

No wonder we are to be “strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS MIGHT” (vs 10)

It is “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zech 4:6)

 

It is, and always has been, a spiritual battle… fought in another realm, but manifesting in and effecting this natural realm.  It is fought between two kingdoms… and… THE KINGDOM OF GOD HAS WON!

 

Ephesians 6:11–13  SO… Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil… that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

 

Do not look on things after the toward appearance. (2 Cor 10:7).  Our weapons are not designed to be used on other people or situations.  We can, after all, “speak to the mountain", but the mountain is not the enemy.  The scheme of the REAL enemy is what brought about that circumstance… the spirit BEHIND that person is causing the problem and destruction.

 

Because… our weapons ARE MIGHTY THROUGH GOD to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations,  and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
