Confession Is Made Unto Salvation
Many have been turned off by the “Name it and Claim It" doctrine.
Therefore, we have all but thrown out a major weapon in our arsenal:
CONFESSION
Romans 10:9–10
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved [sozo- made free, delivered, healed, get on well, prospered, made whole]
For with the heart…
man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth…
CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION!”
“homologeo" is the Greek word translated confess, confession, profession, etc.
It is a compound of two words,
1. “homo" meaning: “the same as”
2. and “logos".
Logos is directly translated “Word".
It means, “to speak forth",
…not just the utterance itself.
But the very thought, intent, purpose, and motive BEHIND what is spoken.
THAT is what was “..in the beginning and… became flesh and dwelt among us.”
THAT is through whom all things are made and IN WHOM is life. (JN 1:1-14)
It even says in Heb 1:3 that HE, THE WORD (LOGOS), Christ, was the “express image" (Greek= charakter) of the Father.
“Satan comes immediately to take away the word (LOGOS)”. (Mk 4:15)
“Affliction and persecution arise for the word’s (LOGOS) sake” (Mk 4:17)
“The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word (LOGOS) of God” (Eph 6:17)
The enemy has whittled away the very essence and intent of our Father’s vital Word, sowing a mingled seed of of doubt and unbelief until we no longer walk in our portion and heritage with power and authority.
SALVATION - soteria - to rescue from danger and to restore to a former state of safety and well being: - to deliver, rescue, and make safe.
So… “confession is made unto salvation" means we speak the very thought, intent, purpose and motive of our Father to any situation, disease, or circumstance that is attempting to claim lordship…
…in our lives, or the lives of those around us.
… and THAT brings restoration and deliverance…
SALVATION!
2 Cor 6:2... behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of SALVATION (soteria)
