Born Free


BORN FREE!

 

Yes, it was a joke - a parody of a popular song, “Born Free… my father’s a doctor”

 

But what if your Father is the creator of ALL?

 

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; WHO WILL HAVE ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim 2:3-4)



What  is HIS will?
1.  Have all men to be saved
2.  Have all men come unto the knowledge of the truth



“SAVED” – translated from Greek "SOZO" – to be FREE, delivered, to get on well, prosper, to be healed, to be made whole..... HIS will for ALL!



... and that ALL would come unto the knowledge of the truth... because…  “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE you free”... 

 

and... “if the Son shall MAKE you free, you shall be free indeed.”  (Jn 8:31-32,36)



We mostly hear those two verses quoted, "shall SET you free".

  

However, the Word comes from a root word meaning “FREE BORN”.  

 

The broader meaning of the word is: 

·       To be unrestrained as a citizen

·       not a slave

·       to be exempted from liability.

 

2 Cor 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ,

 he is a NEW CREATURE: 

old things are passed away; 

behold, ALL THINGS ARE  BECOME NEW.”

 

 

…Through Christ were all things CREATED... by Him... and for Him (Eph 3:9; Col 1:16; Rev 4:11). 



You are not the captive trying to be “SET FREE”...

 

YOU ARE BORN FREE.  

 

…A NEW CREATURE… 

 

FASHIONED, FORMED… MADE FREE!

 

…CREATED as a new creature in Christ Jesus to not be in bondage to anything of this world...

 EVER!

 

YOU WERE CREATED… MADE FREE from addictions, sickness,  disease, demons or their activity, poverty,  lust, or any Old Covenant Law (times, seasons, feasts, new moons, days,  etc.)

 

YOU ARE FREE!!!

 

… A SON OF THE LIVING GOD!

 

Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty 

wherewith Christ hath MADE US FREE, 

and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

 

2 Cor 3:17 …where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
