THINKING WITH THE HEART   Pr23:7 says about man, “…as he THINKS IN HIS HEART , so is he…” THINKS - shaar: To calculate, reckon, estimate, or think   WHAAAAT?  YOU CAN THINK IN YOUR HEART ?   In 1991, pioneer neuro-cardiologist Dr. J. Andrew Armour discovered that the heart possessed its own complex nervous system that acts as a brain… yet functions independently from the brain in the head. He coined the term, “HEART BRAIN”, and has proven this “HEART BRAIN” senses, processes and records information internally and autonomously, usually WELL  BEFORE  the brain’s conscious thought reacts to it.   CONCERNING SPIRITUALS   The first 11 Chapters of 1Corinthians, Paul is talking to them about various topics, weaving advice, direction, correction, and instruction throughout the conversation. In 1Cor12:1 he makes an emphatic shift to address a specific theme, saying, “ NOW CONCERNING SPIRITUAL GIFTS , brethren, I would not have you ignorant.” He continues this theme throughout the next three chapters… unfortunately, about which we still seem to be the most ignorant.   The difficulty is discovered as we look at the first few verses of the chapter. Verse1: “now concerning spiritual GIFTS …” Verse4: Now there are diversities of GIFTS , but the same Spirit.” The word, “CHARISMATON” (GIFTS) is not in the first verse. Apparently, the translators figured that just saying, “spirituals, or spiritual things” would not make sense to the reader… so, they added the word GIFTS in italics in most translations.     In context, however, verses 4-6 set up the next three ch...

  DESTROYED FOUNDATIONS   Ps11:3 “If the FOUNDATIONS are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”   What is the process of building a structure? ·        formulate a plan ·        excavate… get rid of all trash, rubble, unwanted trees, old FOUNDATIONS , and any signs of old buildings… you start with clean, bare earth. ·        stake out where the FOUNDATION will be… getting an overview and layout. ·        excavate for the FOUNDATION , making sure the depth and width of each footer is proportional to the height of the walls… and most importantly… going deep enough to find solid ground. ·        At last, you lay the FOUNDATION , making sure it is level and all of the allowances for plumbing, drainage, etc are in in place. ·        Once the FOUNDATION is secure… set… solid… FINALLY, you begin bui...
