  THE HOUSE OF THE LORD     Religion has done something to our way of thinking over hundreds of years. It has affected our language, the way we live, and has become a lens through which we see life.      We used to frequently sing a song in our services quoting Ps122:1: “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into THE HOUSE OF THE LORD ”. It was very upbeat and we would bounce around, clapping enthusiastically, excited to be gathered together for another service “IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD”.     I remember being taught how to act in THE HOUSE OF THE LORD … how to be reverent, worshipful, quiet, respectful… honoring God… because… after all… we were coming into HIS SANCTUARY… …which always referred to the main meeting area.       We didn't realize we were stuck in the Old Covenant, which says,  “Have them build a SANCTUARY for Me, so that I may DWELL among them.” (Ex25:8)     “ HOWEVER , God… …does not DWELL in ...

  SPLITTING HEIRS   Rom8:16-17 “…We are children of God, and if children… …heirs of God …and joint heirs with Christ…”   For some reason I always thought that “joint heirs with Christ” meant that He was inheriting a certain portion, and I inherited a certain portion assigned to me. In other words… I believed we SPLIT the inheritance… Christ getting HIS allotment… and then somehow, whatever was designated as my allotment was given to me as deemed necessary.   However… the word translated “joint heir” [ sugkléronomos] is a compound made up of: 1.          sun : meaning… so closely identified together as completing one another 2.          kleros : lot or portion … inheritance   SO… Christ and I complete one another and are so closely identified as to BE ONE , thus inheriting the fullness of the inheritance TOGETHER … with complete access… no “my portion”… no “my allotment”… no measur...

   THE TITHE     Growing up around “church”, I was repeatedly taught about THE TITHE … but it was always presented from a compulsory perspective… as was so much of scripture.     Somehow, during any instruction on THE TITHE , Mal3:7-12 is invariably brought into play… specifically referencing verses 8-9 that “you have robbed God in your TITHES and offerings, therefore you are cursed with a curse .”   THE REMEDY : vs10 “bring ALL THE TITHES into the storehouse”   THEN “you will be blessed” (vss10-12)     TITHE simply means “10 th part”   Did you know that by the Law there were at least THREE TITHES ? 1.          Lev 27:30-32.
