      What was the culture and background of the disciples? Weren't they all Jews?   They knew how to PRAY. They lived in a culture of PRAYER. But their understanding of “HOW TO PRAY” was of self-serving petitions begged as favors from a perceived aloof, reluctant God, blind to their “urgent” need.     Our religious culture of PRAYER has been no different.
